Fruit
There is a stereotype that it is impossible or very difficult to grow a tree from a seed: seedlings will not appear, and if they do, then the harvest will take ten years from them. This is true for some crops, but not for the peach. It grows beautifully from a seed, multiplies by self-sowing and begins to bear fruit already in 3-4 years.
Cherry has been cultivated by man since time immemorial. According to historians, this tree was cultivated as early as the 5th century BC - the aromatic cherry fruits were used to make syrup. Over the course of several centuries, mankind has accumulated rich experience in plant breeding and achieved the appearance of varieties that delight with stable yields and useful properties. One example is Lyubskaya cherry.
There are many varieties of cherries: dark to black and bright red, small sweet and sour juicy, aromatic and tart. Differences also affected the shape of the berries: spherical, flattened, heart-shaped. The latter are special, like the Turgenevka cherry, whose berries resemble a heart. The variety was named by Oryol breeders either in honor of the Turgenev girls, or in memory of Turgenev's great love, or in honor of the greatest writer who was born on the Oryol land.
Cherry is one of the favorite fruit and berry crops of summer residents. In the spring, during its short flowering period, it gives us a delightful sight. Its fruits are widely used in cooking. But cherry-cherry hybrids are superior to their parents. In recent years, the Malyshka variety of duke (cherry) has become popular among gardeners. It is a fast growing medium sized berry tree with slightly spreading branches, easy to grow.
Man and nature have always interacted with each other: everything that nature endowed man with, he constantly strived to multiply and improve. Gardening is one of the most fertile areas for development, because breeders are faced with the task of not only improving the long-known fruit trees, but it is much more exciting to create an absolutely new species, combining in it the characteristics of long-established varieties. One of the bred hybrids was the Miracle cherry.
