"Normal flight": after staying in space, lizards cheer up

An interesting conclusion was made by scientists, observing the state of geckos after a flight into space: small lizards, having been in a state of weightlessness, demonstrate an activity and cheerfulness that is unusual for this species, reports TASS.

The experiment was carried out by scientists from the Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Research Institute of Human Morphology, who study the behavior of living beings in zero gravity, conducting experiments on different groups of animals.

The lizards were sent on a flight on a satellite in special containers that provided them with life support. After 30 days of space flight, the geckos showed "playful behavior" and activity, the scientists note.

Interestingly, only females were sent into space.
