March is a good time to grow seedlings of many flower crops. A properly selected plant and adherence to all agricultural techniques will allow you to admire the lovely flowering as early as possible.
Petunia
This plant is prized by flower growers for its lush, bright buds and delicate aroma. You can use petunia for different purposes:
- creation of flower beds, mixborders, rabatok;
- vertical gardening;
- decoration of balconies.
For sowing seeds, any of the proposed containers is required:
- peat tablets;
- plastic cassettes;
- wide and shallow bowl.
Petunia seeds must first be mixed with sand, and then scattered over the surface of the substrate.

These are bright and lush flowers that need to be planted for seedlings in late March - early April. Individual cups are used for this.

You can grow seedlings of these flowers in one box or disposable cups. If the first option is chosen, then the grooves should be 1 cm deep, and the distance between them should be 2 cm.

Verbena
These are tall plants - 20-50 cm (depending on the variety). Verbena is presented in the form of a fluffy bush completely covered with graceful leaves and beautiful flowers of different shades:

- yellow;
- beige.
With proper care, verbena will bloom until the first frost.
The culture is propagated by self-sowing, and seeds must be planted for seedlings before March 20. Before sowing, it is better to soak the planting material in a growth stimulator, and plant it in moistened soil.
The first shoots will appear in 2-3 weeks. During the care of them, waterlogging of the substrate is not allowed. It is necessary to water the plants only after the topsoil dries out. Vervain can be planted in open ground in the second half of May.
Fragrant tobacco
Taking into account the variety of the culture, its height can reach 20-100 cm.The flowers are presented in different shades:
- pink;
- white;
- crimson;
- red;
- green.
In order for the fragrant tobacco to bloom early, it is sown in the second half of March under a film. Only a loose substrate will do. There are features of care:
- Temperature conditions. Until the shoots appear, the temperature should be 20-22 degrees, and after the shoots appear - 16-18 degrees.
- Watering. Young plants need to be moistened carefully and only with warm water.
- Lighting. The duration of daylight hours should be at least 10 hours.
Seedlings can be planted outside after the end of the frost.
Echinacea
This is an unpretentious flower crop that prefers to grow in moderately moist soil. It differs in large and spectacular flowers, the appearance of which resembles a chamomile. They can be of different colors:
- yellow;
- raspberry;
- white;
- salmon.
The plant blooms profusely and for a long time - from mid-July to mid-September.
You need to sow seeds in the second half of March, observing the following algorithm:
- Prepare containers, fill them with universal soil.
- Deepen the seeds by 0.5 cm, lightly grind with sand.
- Moisten the substrate on top with water from a spray bottle.
- Observe a room temperature of 13 degrees.
In early May, seedlings can be planted outside.
Ageratum
The plant boasts double, large flowers that bloom throughout the summer. You need to plant seeds in a wide and shallow container. It is enough just to scatter them on the surface of the earth and lightly crush them with sand.
Ageratum can be planted on the street in mid-May in a well-lit place.
Zinnia
A sustainable crop that does not need special care and special growing conditions. Her double lush flowers can take on different colors:
- purple;
- yellow;
- white;
- Orange;
- red.
Seedlings are best grown in disposable plastic cups. To do this, you need to make a 3-5 mm hole in the center of the container and lay the seeds, lightly sprinkling with earth.
Lobularia
A well-known melliferous plant that covers the ground with a gorgeous "carpet" of many dense branches. Their height reaches 20 cm. They are dotted with oblong-lanceolate leaves and small buds collected in a brush. Lobularia has long, abundant flowering.
Plant seeds must be sown in mid-March, lightly sprinkled with substrate. From above it must be moistened with warm water from a spray bottle. The first shoots will appear in 10-12 days. You can plant plants outside at the end of May using a 15x15 cm scheme.
Iberis
It is a herbaceous crop that prefers to grow in a sunny and drought-resistant area. Flowering lasts 1-2 months. The color of the flowers can be white or pink-lilac.
There are 5 types of Iberis:
- bitter;
- umbrella;
- pinnate;
- evergreen;
- gibraltar.
Plant height is 40 cm. It grows in the form of a bush, which has numerous creeping shoots.
Iberis seeds are sown in March and early April. This requires loose soil. Seedlings can be planted outdoors in May by preparing a sunny area with limestone soil.
