10 ways to make original flower stands with your own hands

Indoor flowers are considered pets on a par with animals: they are provided with care, they are carefully monitored, they create conditions for green friends to grow and delight with lush foliage and beautiful flowers. Experienced florists grow real gardens that require organization in space, and I want it to be not only functional, but also beautiful. How and from what to create interesting flower stands with your own hands without much effort, read in our article.

Old chandelier

You will need:

  • old chandelier;
  • nippers;
  • scissors;
  • exterior paint;
  • Super glue;
  • plastic pots with pallets.

How to do:

  1. Clean chandelier, remove sockets and wiring.
  2. Use superglue to glue the pallets to the chandelier first, then the pots.
  3. Paint the resulting structure.

To prevent your hanging flower bed from swaying in the wind, you can put something heavy in the pots, such as pebbles. If you want to make such a stand for flowers for an apartment, it is better to paint it with artistic acrylic sold in jars, as it does not have an unpleasant smell.

Hanging shelves

You will need:

  • wooden shelves;
  • several pots;
  • jute rope;
  • core drill for wood;
  • drill for wood.

How to do:

  1. With a core drill, the diameter of which coincides with the diameter of the planter, drill holes in the shelves (it is advisable to measure the diameter not at the very top of the pot, but below so that it holds well).
  2. Use a regular drill to make holes in all corners of each shelf.
  3. Take 4 pieces of rope (calculating the length for one piece: multiply the distance between the shelves by the number of shelves, add 20-25 centimeters to the knots, add the required amount of cord for hanging).
  4. Tie strong knots at the ends of the ropes, thread them into the previously drilled holes in the first shelf.
  5. Measure the distance between the shelves according to your idea, tie the second knots, and “put on” the second shelf on the ropes.
  6. Repeat these manipulations with all the shelves, then hang the resulting structure on hooks or a crossbar.
  7. Insert flower pots into the holes.

Bookcase

You will need:

  • whatnot;
  • pallets for flowers;
  • paints and decor are optional.

How to do:

  1. Choose pallets for flowers according to the size of the shelves.
  2. Place pallets on a shelf (you can glue them for strength).

If you are satisfied with the look of the whatnot, then it will be enough to simply place pallets on it, if not, first decorate the structure in the way you like (stain, paint, decoupage) and only after that start placing the stands.

Glass shelves

You will need:

  • glass shelves in the right amount;
  • glass cutter;
  • metal pipes and fittings for them.

How to do:

  1. Connect the pipes and leg attachments.
  2. Make holes in the glass shelves along the pipe diameter.
  3. Insert restrictive sleeves into the pipes.
  4. Put the first shelf on the pipes, set the limiter at the desired distance from it, then place the next shelf.
  5. Repeat the action as many times as necessary.

Kitchen coasters

You will need:

  • cross-shaped wooden stands;
  • wooden slats;
  • pallets for flowers;
  • double-sided self-tapping screws for wood.

How to do:

  1. Screw the slats to the two ends of the stand with double-sided self-tapping screws.
  2. In the same way, connect the two supports together and attach the strips to the connection points.
  3. Do the same for the second side of the shelf.
  4. Put flower trays on the resulting structure.

Wooden pallet

You will need:

  • pallet;
  • paint;
  • small boards;
  • fasteners.

How to do:

  1. Cut shelves of the required size from the boards.
  2. Attach them in the pre-marked places on the pallet.
  3. Paint the flower stand in the selected color.

It happens that the pallet already has ready-made "shelves", then it will be enough just to paint it to get a stand for flowers. Optionally, you can sand the wood with sandpaper so that there are no splinters.

Wooden block with flasks

You will need:

  • wooden block;
  • jigsaw;
  • stain or paint;
  • core drill;
  • flasks;
  • fasteners or wood glue.

How to do:

  1. Take three pieces of timber (one long, two shorter) and saw off their edges at an angle of 45 degrees (for the long one - both edges, for the short ones - only one).
  2. Make holes in a large piece of timber with a core drill.
  3. Fasten the bars in the form of the letter P in a convenient way.
  4. Stain or paint.
  5. Insert flasks.

Wicker baskets

You will need:

  • wicker basket;
  • pots of a suitable size;
  • rope or hook.

How to do:

  1. Attach a hook or rope to the basket.
  2. Place the planter in the basket.
  3. Hang the structure on the wall.

If you are worried that the planters are unstable inside the basket, you can glue them to each other.

Wooden boxes

You will need:

  • wooden box;
  • 4 hook screws;
  • rope.

How to do:

  1. Screw the hook screws into the corner bars of the drawer.
  2. Tie a rope to them.
  3. Hang the box in the chosen place.
  4. Install a pots with a flower in it.

You can stain, paint, or paste over the drawer with decorative material before screwing in the hooks.

Decorative staircase

You will need:

  • boards;
  • timber;
  • paint;
  • fasteners;
  • jigsaw.

How to do:

  1. Cut the timber and boards into pieces of the desired size.
  2. Attach the shelves to the base of the stairs.
  3. Treat the structure with stain or paint.
  4. Attach the ladder to the wall.

These are just some of the ways to create original flower stands with your own hands. In no case should you limit yourself, because almost any object can become a pedestal for plants. You just need to take a good look at seemingly inappropriate objects and show your imagination.
