Tea brewing
For the preparation of fertilizer from tea leaves, only natural large leaf tea without flavors is used. The latter can harm flowers. If the tea is of high quality, then an excellent rich fertilizer will come out of it:
- potassium;
- magnesium;
- iron;
- manganese;
- boron and so on.
All these substances are necessary for plants, as they promote growth, development, resistance to diseases and pests, as well as good flowering. Feeding tea can be used in several ways: for example, leaves left over from tea preparation can be placed in pots and mixed with soil. This will serve not only as a source of nutrients, but also as a loosening agent. Tea leaves can also be added to the soil when transplanting flowers into other pots. However, it must be remembered that the number of tea leaves should be no more than 1/3 of the total soil composition. In addition, tea leaves (liquid) can be used as an organic fertilizer and added little by little to the pots once every 2-3 weeks. Indoor violets are especially fond of such fertilizer. They react to it with violent flowering and the appearance of healthy and large leaves.
Potato broth
Decoction of potatoes can also be an excellent natural fertilizer for indoor pets. To do this, the water remaining after cooking the potatoes must be drained and allowed to cool to room temperature. After that, the liquid is diluted with settled water in a ratio of 1: 3 and poured into flower pots. This procedure will give the flowers strength and health, since potato starch contains a lot of useful components necessary for growth and flowering.In addition, it tends to accumulate in tubers and promotes the appearance of large and powerful leaves, as well as lush flowering. It is important to remember that the water after boiling the potatoes should never be salty, otherwise the flowers may die.
Nettle leaves

- vitamins A, E, B, K.
These and many other substances contained in the leaves of nettle are necessary for pets for full development, and in addition, the elements obtained from nettle are easily absorbed, promote growth and flowering. To prepare the infusion, the leaves of young nettle need to be poured with 2 liters of hot water and insisted for 24 hours. After that, the infusion is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:10 and poured into the pots. At the same time, you should know that such top dressing is unacceptable for dry soil, therefore, the flowers are first watered, allowed to drain, and only after a day can fertilizer be applied. Also, the infusion can be used for spraying, the purpose of which is to improve green mass and pest control.
Shredded banana peel
As you know, banana peel is very rich in potassium, and this element is responsible for lush flowering. Therefore, this fertilizer is best suited for flowering plants such as:
- geranium;
- indoor rose;
- violet;
- chrysanthemum.
Banana peels can be used for feeding in several ways. For example, peel a fruit, and finely chop the skin and dry it. After that, it is poured into pots or mixed with soil when transplanting flowers. Also, the dried peel can be poured with water, and the resulting liquid can be added to the pots. Another option is to make an infusion. To do this, pour boiling water over the fresh peel and leave it for a day. After that, the liquid is filtered, diluted with water in a 1: 3 ratio and indoor flowers are fertilized 2 times a month.
It should be remembered that the entire life cycle of indoor plants takes place in a closed pot space, without access to nutrients from the outside. Therefore, it is indoor flowers that need special attention and feeding. If we neglect this, then the plants begin to lose their aesthetics, they turn yellow and fall off, and in special cases the plants may even die.
