Grapes

The vine is a symbolic culture that came from the depths of centuries. It is both a tree of life, a guarantee of festive fun, a symbol of prosperity, and a triumph of success. Bunches of grapes sing, praise and adore the peoples of the whole world, and enjoy its sunny fruits, considering them a message to earthlings from wise gods.

Many inexperienced gardeners are sure that grapes can be planted exclusively in spring: over the summer, the heat-loving culture adapts to the soil, sprouts and prepares for winter. However, planting grapes in autumn is also permissible and even has a number of advantages over the spring procedure.

The progenitor of the Timur and Timur pink grapes was the famous Delight variety, bred about fifty years ago by complex selection at the Research Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking of the RSFSR (now VNIIViV named after Yakov Ivanovich Potapenko).

Long gone are the days when grapes were considered an exotic southern berry. Thanks to the efforts of breeders and enthusiastic gardeners, he won his place in the summer cottages of central Russia. Perhaps the most inconvenient in growing it is only a shelter for the winter, otherwise growing grapes does not present any particular problems.

The Viking grape has garnered the most controversial reviews. Its superior qualities compete with serious disadvantages. One thing is clear - this hybrid is not for industrial cultivation and, most likely, not for beginners. Viking is designed for the professional amateur, which is exactly what its creator is.
