This hybrid owes its origin to the national breeder Viktor Krainov. His garden plot in the city of Novocherkassk became a variety testing station in 1986. The land is located in the floodplain of the Tuzlov River, where spring and autumn frosts, frequent fogs and constant dew are considered common phenomena. In addition, by the time the vineyard was laid in Novocherkassk, a spherotek had already been discovered. All this, of course, became decisive in the selection work of a self-taught winegrower.

Viktor Nikolaevich could grow in his garden only varieties that are resistant to cracking berries, gray rot and other fungal diseases. He grafted their cuttings onto phylloxera-resistant rootstocks. In the 90s, in order to get rooted hybrid plants, the first crosses were carried out:
- Talisman + Autumn black;
- Talisman + Tomaysky;
- Talisman + Radiant.
The breeder collected seeds from the berries obtained as a result of the crossing and raised the seedlings. The earliest ones yielded crops in two years. Among them, the now legendary hybrid - Lowland. The anniversary of Novocherkassk was highlighted in 2004 among the seedlings that began to bear fruit later. In total, V.N.Krainov became the author of 45 hybrid forms.

The anniversary of Novocherkassk has been grown in gardens for over 10 years. But the application for protection and the grant of a patent was filed only in 2014. First of all, these are early large-fruited table grapes. The growing season before the harvest ripens lasts only 100-110 days. The hybrid is called the excellent market form.
